PLEASE stop clicking the broken download button...
I get an email at least 4 times a day from folks clicking the broken download button!
The download is not broken. The server gets quite a bit of traffic certain hours of the day from people downloading float, and it may hiccup once or twice. Please, if it doesn't work the first time you click on the download button, then try again once or twice before telling the site to email me. Thanks.

Folding @ Home
Join TheFloatingPoint.org to fight for the cure of disease by protein folding! Enable the scientific community to better understand the development of many diseases, including sickle-cell disease (drepanocytosis), Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, mad cow disease, cancer, Huntington's disease, cystic fibrosis, osteogenesis imperfecta, alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency, and other aggregation-related diseases.
The most important contributors to the Folding@home project are many hundreds of thousands of personal computer users who have installed a small client program just like you. This client will, at the user's choice, run in the background, utilizing otherwise unused CPU power, or run as a screen saver only while the user is away, and even to run when your just surfing the web like many do. In most modern personal computers, the CPU is rarely used to its full capacity at all times. The Folding@home client takes advantage of this unused processing power. Even when playing games you have a portion of your CPU power stays unused.
Folding is not only good for fighting disease, but its good for the site. The more people we get folding for us, and the more teams we surpass, the higher we will get ranked as a team! Sites like XCPUS.com, and tomshardware are in the top 100, and if we work together we will make it as well. ____ Written by RKH404 because I was too lazy.

New float32 and such...
I know I havent been paying much attention to the site due to work and such, but just to let everyone know, float32 WILL extend into clear sky in august. The site may be slow from time to time until then, but that is fine.
Clear sky code has already been demonstrated....sorta and should be available within a few days of clear sky release.

The site them is going to be tested a few days...
...So let me know what you registered forum folks think. I have some plans for the site besides software and a new theme will be appropriate. the currents seems too dark and amateur.
Thanks, jjwalker

Over the Easter holiday i had to have emergency surgery for appendicitis, and I am feeling rather poorly. I am keeping this short for this reason but I will be back in action soon.

Next Float32 well under way...
The next Float32 version is well on its way to release. I am unsure of a release date of any sort at the moment, but all testers should keep an eye on the super secret forum for updates and test releases!

This will not be the last...
More Float32 to come for SHOC.
I am not sure on how many realeses, but the newer releases will have increased calculations (for the sake of detail) and detour away from pure speed. My decision is based on the fact that newer generation hardware is out to support and warmly asccomidate some DX9 features that came way too late. I do apologize to the folks with lower end hardware, but all things must come to an end (you can only optimize SO much). It will now be adding and adding code wise to draw more pretty scenes for you.
If the low end crowd complains enough, i may change my mind, so register with the site and sound off!
